Some Frequently Asked Questions on Getting Back Your Ex-Girlfriend

in Relationship

If you're sincerely asking questions about getting back your ex-girlfriend, that's actually a good sign - it means the breakup probably was not so bad as to destroy all hope of getting back together.  Plus, if you think there's a chance to save the relationship, you're in a good mental state that will work in your favor.

Here are a few commonly asked questions...

What if I show her my sensitive side?

Although there's no guarantee you'll get back together, you can shift the odds in your favor by doing the right things.  If you show her how much you miss her, and show her that you're sorry for the mistakes you made in your relationship, you start to tip the scale.  Remember you need to be observant too, though, and gauge her reactions.  If your gestures tend to make her angry - say she throws away roses that you give her, or something equally dramatic - you'll need to change your tactics until you figure out something that she positively responds to.

What if flowers or cards make her mad?

Well, if flowers or cards make her angry (or really anything you've done), one reason could be that you're trying to do things that are too easy.  Anyone can pick up a phone and order flowers.  Walking into a card store isn't hard, either.  The trick here is to put yourself in her shoes, and on that basis try to determine something more appealing.  Even a blank card that you write your own verse in could be enough.  (Remember, you don't need to rhyme, and it's usually better if it doesn't!  Just honestly express what you're feeling inside.)  If you're still insistent on going with the flower option, you can still demonstrate effort by, for example, picking flowers and giving her a bouquet you made yourself.

I thought men are supposed to be "jerks" and that's attractive?

Not exactly - remember that women commonly complain that the men in their lives aren't thoughtful enough.  Ask yourself: "Was I *truly* thoughtful in our relationship?"  Although you can't necessarily get your girl back through thoughtfulness alone, it's a solid step towards your goal.  Remember that positive things are additive - they kind of stack up, and make it easier and easier for you to get her back.  But just as they're additive, they also sometimes come with a delay.  Not all methods are overnight ones!

Also remember that if your relationship rarely involved thoughtful things, or you only did them at the outset, your ex is going to have some doubt about what you end off doing now.  Remember if you're patient and persistent, and don't appear thoughtful and angry, and continue to do thoughtful things because it makes her happy, then you're on the right track.

What if she has a new boyfriend - can I still get her back?

Sadly, the odds tend to go against you here, but ultimately if you can prove to her that she'll end off being happier with you, rather than the new guy, you improve your chances dramatically.  Thoughtfulness can help massively in that department - even in situations where it seems virtually hopeless!  If you're pretty sure she's moved on, try something like sending her a card that you wrote on your own, wishing her to have a great week.  Make sure you don't look as if you're expecting anything - and you may end up looking very impressive!

If it appears she's moved on, still send her a card you wrote just wishing her a great week. But don't look as if you have any expectations. Your thoughtfulness might really impress her.

If I date other women, will that help me get my girlfriend back?

It's somewhat about timing - as long as it's been a while since your broke up, and you're still working on being thoughtful, dating another person casually is probably harmless, and perhaps even beneficial.  Go too far though, and you may erode your chances of getting back with her.

Please do remember the above are just starting points in getting back the love of your life.  You really do need a step-by-step plan to get your girl back!
