How to Get My Ex Boyfriend Back - A Logical Approach

in Relationship

About a year ago, I had gotten dumped by my boyfriend of three years. He had a laundry list of reasons why he wanted to end the relationship and to me, those reasons were very ambiguous. Some seemed to be reasons to just give up with no work required. Of course, I wanted to get my ex boyfriend back. We are all the same in this respect.

Soon after, I went into a funk and felt that I wasn't good for anything anymore. You know, the depressed stage of a breakup where you just sit for hours, contemplating the demise of the relationship. You sit wondering if he cheated and what the other woman had to offer that was better than what you had. Yeah, that was me. Eating chocolate and watching romance movies all the while crying my eyes out.

Then one day, I came to a revelation: I am worthy of others' affections. I also wanted to change since I felt my ex and I had a good thing going. If I was going to keep him then I had to get very serious about my actions and the changes I needed to make to myself so that I can be with him again.

So, I started with pampering myself. I went to the salon and got my hair cut as well as colored. I headed over to the nail salon and got a pedicure and manicure. I shopped for some smashing new outfits and even went as far as to buying some new lingerie for myself. Believe me, my complete overhaul of myself was the boost I needed to complete the rest of my transformation.

I went home and put away my tissue boxes, returned all of the romance DVD's I had rented and refused to pity myself anymore. I knew deep down I was a good person who deserved the love of another. I also knew that if I didn't learn to love myself, then every relationship I would have in the future would be doomed.

Then, I set upon writing a list. This list contained the action plan as to how I would change. This list included me going to therapy, learning about myself and getting back in tune with my hopes and dreams. I knew I needed to become my own person, rather than letting my life be dictated by someone else. It is an important factor in playing "I want to get my ex boyfriend back" game.

My next step was for me to show my ex the list I had made. I hoped to use my list as a tool to let him know I was serious about our relationship, as well as about myself. I gave him a call and had asked him to stop by the house for a couple minutes since I had something to show him.

That evening, he did stop by to my surprise. We went over the list, point for point and knew that we had to make a collective effort together in order to make our relationship work. We had agreed to start anew and work on ourselves as individuals, then try to bring ourselves back to basics.

But the logical approach is not always going to work. It is effective if both sides want to fix the relationship. In more difficult cases, if you want to get your ex boyfriend back, you need to implement more complex methods.
