I found my cousin sitting in front of his computer the other day. I asked him what he was doing. He told me he was updating his Face book profile.
"Why don't you go to the beach?", I asked full of curiosity.
"Well ... I want to meet some people and ... maybe meet a girl too", he answered with complete indifference almost making me swallow an entire ice cube.
I mean what is wrong with people these days? Why don't they go out to meet new people?
I decided to write this short post because I have the biggest secret to share with you. I am about to give the ultimate guide to meeting people. Are you ready?
Well, you just talk to them.
No, seriously. That is it.
It is very simple actually. You just go and talk about something. Anything.
You then find what is there in common between the two of you, you share commonalities and if the personalities fit then you hit it off. It is really very simple. You do not need anything complicated to get a relationship started. Just some basic conversation skills that you probably have already in place. I find it very sad that people can trust someone over the Internet - not that there is something wrong with this - but they do not trust someone that they meet in flesh.
In any case I wish you luck. There are some simple rules when approaching a stranger that you should respect:
Guide to meeting people
- Smile and adopt the I am a fun person style
- Drop the ego
- If you are a big man approach sideways so that you will not intimidate the other person
- Get dressed one notch more classy from the person that you are about to talk with.

I've tried one or two of the friends sites for meeting people. I live in London and it's hard to meet people in a large city. The gym seems to be a good port of call, also some of the classified sites and some of the online friends sites.
